Definitely an art once you master the skill ..
this string is made in a traditional way from harakeke, flax. Plait made from shredded harakeke. Different thickness string made from pure harakeke fibre. Fibre is harvested in special manner, Not all harakeke is usable. Some awesome things have been made from this type of string!
